When you visit Beebonding.com, this privacy policy applies.
General
Personal data includes any kind of information that can be attributed to you to some extent. When you use our website, we collect and process such information – with the purpose of facilitating contact between host and guest. This happens, for example, when accessing content pages, contacting a host via the contact form in an ad, or registering as a host.
We do not store sensitive personal information! This applies to all users.
We collect and process the following types of information on everyone who uses our website: a unique ID and technical information about the specific computer, tablet, or mobile phone, the IP address, the geographical location, and which pages the user clicks on.
Guests
When you create a user login, you enter your email and password. You are responsible for maintaining this information. The information is recorded with us. When you contact a host via the website, you enter your name, email, and phone number, as well as a message to the host. This information is transmitted in unencrypted form, recorded with us, and also sent in an email to the host. We store the information in our system indefinitely, or until you request its deletion. The information will only be accessible to trusted employees/data processors and the host to whom the inquiry was sent.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service Privacy Policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Hosts
When you create a user login and a post, you enter email and password, as well as address and information and photos about your accommodation offerings/activities. You are responsible for maintaining this information. The information is transmitted in unencrypted form, recorded with us, and stored for up to 6 years after you have removed your ad or if you request the data to be deleted. Your name, address, phone number, and email will not appear in your ad unless you write them as part of the ad text. However, guests can receive this contact information by email if they wish. All information you provide about your accommodations and activities will be visible in your ad.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
Security
We have taken technical and organizational measures to prevent your information from being accidentally or unlawfully deleted, disclosed, lost, degraded, or accessed by unauthorized persons, misused, or otherwise processed in violation of the law.
Purpose
The information is used to identify you as a guest/host and show you ads that are most likely relevant to you, to record your inquiries to the hosts, and to provide the services you have requested, such as sending contact information to the hosts. In addition, we use the information to optimize our services and content.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Disclosure of Information
Data about your use of the website, which ads you receive and possibly click on, geographical location, etc., is disclosed to third parties to the extent that this information is known. Name, address, phone, and email are not disclosed to these third parties. The information is used, for example, for targeting advertising, and you can see more about this and which third parties are involved in the “Cookies” section above. Furthermore, we use a number of third parties for storage and processing of data. These process information solely on our behalf and may not use it for their own purposes.
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
Complaints
You can object at any time to the use of information – unless we are obliged to disclose this information due to other legislation. You can also withdraw your consent to the processing of information about you. If the information processed about you is incorrect, you have the right to have it corrected or deleted. Contact information regarding this can be found here. If you wish to complain about our processing of your personal data, you also have the option to contact the Danish Data Protection Agency.
